Day-Long or Short-Term Projects
Some pro bono projects do not require an extensive time commitment and can be completed in a single day or a short-term duration. These projects are typically organized to accommodate a large number of people on a single day at a convenient location in the community, such as the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program or Wills for Heroes. Sometimes these events have a student, bar association, or organizational sponsor and students lend assistance to accommodate more members of the community. These pro bono projects are a great way for first-year students in particular to start getting involved with the Pro Bono Project on a limited basis and to begin developing practical skills and experiences for their personal growth, career focus, and resume.
